Delaware Military History
This page is dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Great
War.  In Lincoln's words,
"the last full measure of devotion” to their country.

The University of Delaware's Memorial Hall is dedicated to the men and women
from Delaware who died in World War I. The building's foyer contains a war
memorial display consisting of four wall-mounted bronze tablets and a memorial
book housed in a display case on a raised pedestal.[1] Each page of the book
contains the name of one of the 270 Delawareans who died in the war; the page is
turned each weekday by cadets from the campus ROTC
